Things to Love Thursday.

Pablo Neruda Poems - ever since trying to watch Il Postino twice when I was younger, in the vain hopes that it would make me more cultured or more cool as it were. I think it was my favorite idea of a "sensual" adult movie that I could watch with my then boyfriend.

All it did was give me a lifelong love of Italy. And Pablo Neruda, on a beach, explaining love to a hunky but clueless ragazzo.

It's not the first time I've just randomly clicked on a BON link, and yet again, I have been conveniently pleased.

It brings up a question though. Are we naturally a suspicious species? Do we tend to distrust anything that has any whiff of coporate stamp of appeal - or something that we heard of via a mainstream source? I remember when "Single Ladies" was the fucking bomb esp. when my cast members were doing their own versions in the back alley on Capp. But now that everyone and their mother is "putting a ring on it" as it were on YouTube, does it make the video any less cool? No, just more popular.
